Dipsy Psychiatry, Inc

Child & Teen Psychiatry

Care for young people, with parents as partners.

Children and teens face real pressure: school, friendships, social media and big changes at home. When worry, sadness, attention problems or behavior changes start to get in the way, early help makes a difference. We provide child and adolescent psychiatry in Chicago and by telehealth across Illinois.

What we offer young people

  • Developmentally informed evaluations: We talk with the young person and with parents, and review school input when it helps.
  • Treatment for common concerns: ADHD, anxiety, depression, behavior challenges, trauma and sleep problems.
  • Careful medication decisions: When medication is recommended, we explain why, start low and monitor closely.
  • Family involvement: Parents get clear guidance on how to support progress at home.

Signs it may be time to reach out

  • Changes in mood, sleep, appetite or friendships that last more than a few weeks
  • Falling grades or trouble focusing at school
  • Worry, panic or school avoidance
  • Irritability, outbursts or withdrawal that worry you as a parent

Getting help early can change a young person's path. We make the first step easy for the whole family.

Getting started

Your first visit is a full evaluation with one of our psychiatric nurse practitioners. We listen to your story, review your history and current symptoms, and agree on a plan you understand before you leave. Visits are available in Chicago and by secure telehealth anywhere in Illinois, and follow-up appointments keep the plan on track as things change. You can request an appointment through our online booking page or call our office with any questions first.
